Jessy Cardenas Ms. Lehmann English 1-3 25 October 2018 What role will robots play in our future? What role will robots play in the future? This is a very complex question that can have multiple outcomes. Many people may have different ideas of the possibilities. I feel like if a robot would be come president there would be more peace and less war. I believe this because a robot can look at all the possible outcomes with an algorithm and make the best choice for the situation. Some people may not like this idea because of movies such as the terminator, the idea that a robot can rebel and make its own decisions which if the happened in the real world it would be quite the spectacle. If the robots take over some of our jobs it wouldn’t be as bad because the robot will most likely be better at it for example if a robot was to be president yes there will be mistakes but that’s when the humans step in and do what needs to be done. The one downside to this is that we will need a very smart man to program the robot. It can be done humans have had a thing were they can do the impossible to help us to do less and make life easier. When ever the word robot come into play people would usually think of a big old box of metal and bolts or a human like robot that is a killing machine that nothing that can stop it. These examples are not true robots aren’t like that they do not go crazy or adopt a mind of its own. Those are pictures big movie company’s have out into your head just to sell tickets. I feel like robots are going to play a huge role in our future. Even if it’s not in the forms I gave they still have a lot to do with modern day life. Look around you, robots are taking jobs in dairies in hospitals, robots are going to play even more of a role in the future regardless if you would want them to or not. A study shows that roughly 800 millions jobs will be taken by robots in the next 12 years. That is a very big number of jobs that are being taken by robots. The reason being that robots do the things the humans don’t want to like disable bombs but how long will it be till the whole world doesn’t want to work anymore, not very long in my opinion. By the time I am one with college most of the jobs will be taken by robots. They are slowly taking over our jobs and our everyday lives. So the Question what role will the robots play in our future shouldn’t be our question, the question should be how long till the robots take over your job. It’s only a matter of time till we have no more jobs to supply. Many countries have been working on war robots so it’s not like this is just in America. This is a worldwide movement that cannot be stopped or delayed. So robots will play a gigantic role in the future of this world. I can also see why people wont like for robots to play a huge role in our future because they can be hacked. There will also be no jobs for the working class man and they might also believe that the world’s obesity level will sky rocket. So I can see both sides but I think that the pros to robots out way the cons by so much.
